Ring of Kerry

There is not much more to say than enjoy the beautiful landscape!

THE SKELLIGS, Co. Kerry

That is how the weather looked like when we left Valentia island to head to the Skelligs.

I was afraid that it would start to rain any moment, but as you see it cleared up and it was perfect at the end.

Though we were the last boat to leave the port we were the first ones to arrive at the Skelligs as the captain of our ship was the "Niki Lauda of the Sea", he won the race against all the others!

The view was really amazing! Who would not like to see that!

I forgot to mention that I got very seasick when we headed over to the island and I was delighted to get out of the boat after 50 minutes, but it was really worth it!

Unfortunately I did not make it to the top as I was not fit enough to climb the 600 steps to see the Monk's stone buildings, so you will have to imagine them or to look on the internet for the Skelligs.

Blarney, Co. Cork

It's said that you get wisdom when you kiss the Blarney Stone, but I find it rather disgusting to kiss a wall full of bacterias. I'd rather watch other people  hanging their bodies into a hole for the price of 2 Euro.

 Trees with a pullover,
they would not have needed that this summer as we had a few warm days. Ireland is speaking of a heat-wave because the thermometer reached 20 degrees
and sometimes even more!

Leprechauns are protected in this area!!!!
