A TRIP AROUND KERRY

We started our journey as always in Waterford. We took the route through Killarney and Killorglin and then a few kilometres southwards to Glenbeigh.

Wie immer begannen wir unsere Anreise in Waterford. Wir nahmen die Route durch Killarney und Killorglin und dann ein paar Kilometer südwärts nach Glenbeigh.

The next morning we were driving to the ferry station nearby and went to Valentia Island, which is one of Ireland's most westerly points, lying off the Iveragh Peninsula in the southwest of County Kerry.

Am nächsten Morgen fuhren wir zum Anlegeplatz einer nahegelegenen Ferry, die uns auf Valentia Island brachte, welches einer der westlichsten Plätze Irlands, nahe der Iveragh Halbinsel im Südwesten von Kerry.

Johnstown Park, Co. Wexford

Welcome to Johnstown Park in County Wexford! There is a beautiful Victorian revival castle in this park, which I could see as a lovely wedding reception. As I took so many photos from the castle lots of times before, I concentrated on the park only this time.

Kinsale, Co. Cork

We passed Kinsale often on our way to West Cork. I always thought it was nice, but I never saw much of the town itself, as we usually just went along the harbour. A few days ago I saw the centre of the town for the very first time and I loved it immediately. It is a very colourful, joyful place, obviously with a good sense of humour.

Wir passierten Kinsale des öfteren, wenn wir auf dem Weg nach West Cork waren. Ich dachte mir immer, dass es nett sei, aber ich hatte nie viel von der Stadt selbst gesehen, da wir immer nur entlang des Hafens fuhren. Vor ein paar Tagen war ich zum ersten Mal im Stadtzentrum und ich liebte es sofort. Es ist ein sehr bunter, fröhlicher Ort mit einem offensichtlich guten Sinn für Humor.

Kinsale is one of the most popular and historic towns on the south west coast of Ireland.
Kinsale ist eine der populärsten und geschichtlichen Städten auf der Südwestküste Irlands.

I am sure you will enjoy Kinsale as much as I did and maybe you are sitting outside of one of the cafes in the area or you are walking on the quay.
Ich bin mir sicher, Du wirst Kinsale so sehr geniessen, wie ich es getan habe und vielleicht sitzt Du schon bald draussen vor einem Cafe in der Gegend oder Du spazierst auf dem Kai.
